The Journey
LEAMSI Entertainment Group, LLC was founded by Ismael J. Peña, a veteran music professional, event producer, and entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience spanning live performance, touring, sound reinforcement, recording, and event production.

Ismael’s professional music journey began in the late 1980s and early 1990s as a singer, bandleader, and frontman of a successful multi-genre cover band formed in Miami, Florida. His early career quickly expanded beyond local stages when the band relocated to Nicaragua, where he toured extensively throughout the country, performing before thousands of attendees and sharing stages with nationally and internationally recognized artists and bands.
During this period, Ismael became widely known as “Ismael, El Baby de la Salsa,” leading two prominent bands, Acero and Prisma Power. These formative years of touring, large-scale productions, and high-pressure live performances built a deep foundation in musicianship, professionalism, and audience connection—principles that continue to guide his work today.
After returning to the United States to form a family, Ismael transitioned into a multifaceted career that blended music, technology, and business leadership. He remained active in live events throughout the 1990s and 2000s, operating a professional mobile DJ and sound reinforcement business under the name Latin American DJ, providing DJ services and professional sound/PA support for weddings, corporate events, private celebrations, and restaurants across Southeast Florida.
The Founder
Alongside his professional work, Ismael pursued higher education, earning an Associate’s degree in Multimedia Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, and later an MBA. This academic path strengthened his ability to approach live events not only as creative experiences, but as well-managed productions supported by systems, planning, and accountability.
In the late 2000s, Ismael returned to his first artistic calling as a Christian singer-songwriter, focusing on Spanish-language worship and inspirational music. He released his debut album Así Me Ama Dios in 2011, followed by En Sus Manos in 2013, which included the song “Paz en la Tormenta,” reaching over five million streams on Spotify. His music ministry led to performances locally, nationally, and internationally, while also supporting churches and faith communities through concerts, retreats, courses, and prayer events—often providing both musical leadership and full sound and lighting production.
This season further reinforced Ismael’s commitment to service, excellence, and using music as a means to connect, uplift, and bring people together.
The Philosophy
LEAMSI Entertainment Group was built on a simple but powerful philosophy: music and production should be handled with excellence, integrity, and heart.
At its core, LEAMSI is a family-owned, family-oriented small business. Ismael operates the company alongside his wife, with their children occasionally involved behind the scenes—learning the value of teamwork, responsibility, and service. This family dynamic shapes the way LEAMSI approaches every event: with care, respect, and a deep understanding of how meaningful life celebrations truly are.
Clients are not treated as transactions, but as people trusting LEAMSI with important moments—weddings, milestones, celebrations, and gatherings that matter. This mindset influences everything from communication and preparation to on-site execution and professionalism.
Today & Beyond
In 2024, Ismael made the strategic decision to formally relaunch and unify his DJ, sound, and lighting services under one professional platform. In September 2025, LEAMSI Entertainment Group, LLC was established as a Florida-registered, licensed, and insured company offering DJ performance, professional sound reinforcement, and event lighting production for weddings, galas, corporate events, private celebrations, community events, and live productions.
Since its founding, LEAMSI Entertainment Group has supported a wide range of events, including formal galas, quinceañeras, private celebrations, and high-profile engagements such as performing as a DJ in the Florida Panthers Cold Zone at Amerant Bank Arena.
Today, Ismael continues to balance his work as a DJ and event producer with his ongoing career as a recording artist and his commitment to faith-based service. LEAMSI Entertainment Group stands as the culmination of a lifelong dedication to music, production, family, and leadership—bringing experience, professionalism, and genuine care to every event it serves.
